From lesson to practice

Hand over a clear weekly assignment.

Write one to five tasks, choose a week-start date and planned minutes, then review the assignment before downloading its file. A learner can open PracticePost, choose that file and add a new week.

Prepare an assignment

Send instructions without last week’s history

The file includes instrument, week-start date, task titles, instructions and planned daily minutes. Student nickname and resource links are off by default and included only if selected. Learner notes, daily practice marks and internal record IDs are excluded. Personal details written inside instructions are not automatically removed.

Review, then add

The learner sees the file’s contents before adding it. Existing weeks remain unchanged. The new week has fresh IDs, blank notes and unmarked days. If the nickname was omitted, it starts as “My practice”; edit it if useful. Save explicitly to retain the new week in that browser.

A file handoff, not a shared account

You decide whether and how to send the downloaded file. PracticePost sends no emails or invitations. Sender and recipient have independent editable copies. Later changes do not synchronize. Importing the same file twice creates two separate weeks, even with matching dates; the app asks before adding each copy.

Three files for different jobs

Assignment imports are limited to 100 KB and one to five tasks. They do not replace all weeks or open resource links automatically. A link may require its own login or permission.

Practice marks remain self-reported and do not establish mastery. There is no paid plan or student portal in this version.
